After almost two years of violence and destruction in Gaza, it is time to clearly show our solidarity. Universities in Belgium continue to maintain ties with Israeli institutions, while our colleagues and students in Palestine are literally seeing their universities bombed away.
Therefor on Thursday October 23rd 2025 there will be a joint meeting and solidarity moment at the rectorate (Sint-Pietersnieuwstraat, Ghent) at 12 noon.
ACOD UGent expresses support for this action and calls on all Ghent University staff who can to join this meeting.
